We had fun crafting up matching star wand and headbands to go along with our Wren and James collab ‘Summer Nostaglia’ – where girls can match their doll in twinning pinafores! I share a demo on how to make these on Studio 5 KSL which you can see here.
To make these we simply cut up cardboard into various star shapes (we used thin cardboard for the smaller headband stars and thicker cardboard for the wand star). We then covered each star in glue and then sprinkled with chunky vintage looking glitter. For the headband we only covered one side with glitter. We then took a strip of elastic (fitted to either the child or the doll) and wrapped it around out craft tray (which we are obsessed with, from school house electric). We then glued each star on with hot glue. For the wand we used a bbq skewer as the handle and inserted it into the corrugated end with a dab of glue. We then used glue and lots and lots of glitter to make our sparkly star wand.
