I’ve been a bit behind on my baby blanket making for Baby M. Let’s just say that we have two quilts for her that have been in progress since, oh before she was born. But I am happy to report that I managed to finish this simple quilted blanket this past weekend. She’s a sister blanket to these two cousin quilts (in fact I wanted to do the same trim but ran out of it so I went for this neon peachy-traffic cone orange color).
You might recognize this knitted polka-dot fabric from her little rain cloud pillow that we have above her crib. And you might recognize this Bitty Bunny fabric I designed from the pj’s I made Little O last Easter. I personally love them together…and just in time for the approaching Easter holiday (except I couldn’t wait for her Easter basket to give it to her).
And speaking of this bitty baby…well she’s just growing way to fast. Seriously…I just had her…like yesterday…and now look at her. So long and perfectly plump in the most scrumptious baby way. Jon and I keep telling her to slow it down…letting her know that we want her to stay our baby…for…oh like forever. We’ll see if she listens to us…
so so so sweet. I need to take a sewing class so I can make one! such talent you have (but i think you already knew that!) xo
How precious! I love the fabric choices with the bright thread and edge. Although it’s hard to focus on the quilt when there is such an adorable baby lying on it!

thanks so much! and I took a look at your site and am dying over your pink bow tie swim suit! Can’t wait until she’s old enough to wear it. 🙂
She is adorable, and the coordinating fabrics are amazing! You designed your own fabric? How do you do that? Must check out the link now…
Cute! Love the way you used the polka dot fabric.
thanks Lorraine! Can’t wait to see how you use yours!
I really want that doll, but can’t find it anywhere 🙁 Do you have a link? Thank you!
Where did you get that fabric??? I’m in LOVE!!! I’m new to your blog. So beautiful!!!
Hi Jacque! The bunny fabric is my design and you can purchase it on Spoonflower here:http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/548806. The knit polka-dots are from a LA fashion district find. And thanks for stopping in and saying such kind things. xo

Love this quilt. Did you follow a pattern for the stitching. I’m new to quilting but I love how you did that and would to do it one I’m making….. Just looking for a bit of guidance.
i just eyeballed it but you could draw out with a quilt marker if you wanted. Otherwise I say just dive in! The inconsistencies make it charming. best of luck!
