Love

Celebrate

Who doesn’t love an entire month dedicated to love? I know I do. I’ve always been a big fan of Valentines. Even when I was single. It’s always encompassed more than just romantic love for me (although I’m definitely a fan of that angle!). I love celebrating LOVE and all the those that matter…all those that we love.

This morning I’m thinking about my dear cousin who at just 16 years old passed away on Friday. A sudden onset of flu, pneumonia, (and several other sicknesses) piled on top of a lethal staff infection was just too much for his mortal body. This poignant moment for our family definitely gives reason to pause…to reflect and to think about what matters most in life. With an ever busy schedule I can often become overwhelmed and stressed…forgetting to really take time out to enjoy those special moments with those we love the most. I want to try to be better at this. I want to be sure that all those I love and hold dear know it. And feel it.

We could all use a little more love don’t you think? A little more kindness. A little more caring and forgiving. More cherishing. That to me is what February is all about. LOVE.
