As you know, the boys and are I big fans of great and original tees that hold up on playground – both with the friends and the playground equipment. And recently we have fallen for Prefresh and their great line of super soft, super durable and super Rad tees!
As a mom and an illustrator myself, I’m really picky about the boys graphic tees. Sure they want Mario and Power Rangers (which I do indulge from time to time, I’m not completely design militant) but I want them to stretch and explore and enjoy the unique world of non-liscended characters.
And let me tell you Prefresh makes this very easy. Really I don’t have to do any convincing. First off the tees are super soft with the tags silk screened on (major points in AJ’s book) and then then graphics and illustrations are spot on for what my boys (and their playground buddies) are looking for.
And for me, well I love the fun, quirky and goofy edge of the graphics and illustrations. I mean a skateboarding lizard-monster-guy and a bandit fox (new in their fall/winter line!). Does it get any better than that?
Oh and let’s talk about quality. I concur with the boys that they are indeed snuggly soft and hold up well in the wash. And the prices are super reasonable as well. Thinking we might have to start collecting…oh about all of them.
And now let’s talk about back-to-school for reals. Aj starts on Thursday and Little O soon after that. Like where has the summer gone? I’m a fall gal…not going to lie. But this time…well it just feels like summer slipped away just when I was starting to get into my swimsuit, lemonade pool party groove. Ahhhh….well at least it’s still awfully warm around these parts…But then again when I think about new pencils, backpacks and the prospect of crunchy leaves and crispy days, I do get all happy and dreamy inside. So I guess fall can come…but only after I kick back a few more 7-eleven slurpees and wear my flip-flops into the ground.
Happy first day of school everyone!
love the shirts! but i’ve got to ask, how in the world did you do your son’s hair like that??? our son has longer hair too just like your son, and we’d love to try to replicate the look! 🙂
thanks!
Thanks beka! he’s got some natural wave going on (we can’t do the same thing to little bro whose hair is stick straight) so that helps. the sides are shorter than the top so we we just brush it up, rat it a bit and aerosol spray the heck out of it ;). good luck!
thanks merrilee! we’re going to have to try our hand at that look!
Awesome tees! Thanks for sharing them. i’m always on the look-out for cool boy goods.
I’d love to know the brand of those awesome glasses!

Oh my word, I can’t get over A’s hair here. How did you do (or not do) it? I’d love to give something like that a try with Felix.
Love Prefresh. Love your blog. Love the phrase “design militant.” LOL! I think I might be one of those………
