I’ve alway had a generational love for dolls (OK and particularly the ones with a touch of macabre to them) so I’m happy to report that baby M is enjoying dolls as well. But I’m even more happy to report that she’s smitten with books just as much if not more. She brings me books and magazines to read to her every day.

She also brings me shoes. “Shoes” is one of her first words, so, yeah I think we’re in trouble. Whatever it is with girls and shoes, she’s got it, and she’s got it early. So we’ve been spending our ending summer days with all three of these things in our book nook and I couldn’t be happier. Must summer end? I mean, really.
