LITTLE LADY BUG It’s costume time again! I love designing fun and simple to make costumes for kids that have a little wow factor. The costumes I created for the latest Oct. 2018 Better Homes and Gardens Halloween issue come in a range super simple like a little mouse to ones with little more detail …
It was such a treat (or should I say trick-or-treat ;)) to create a series of simple DIY costumes for you in this month’s special Halloween edition of Better Homes and Gardens. This little unicorn riding princess is a fav and an off shoot of my llama costume from last year and follows the same basic …
We love it when a great costume uses clothing your child will wear again and has wow elements that are simple, affordable and easy to make (did someone say cardboard?). This little clown, baby bat and garden fairy costume do just that! Head over to kids fashion site Kids21 for our ideas on to put these together …

I’ve wanted to make a costume version of our Toilet Paper Roll Llama Craft ever since I made the little guys. And this year, with our Playful Cardboard Costume Contest, I thought it the perfect time to finally do it. It was fun and easy and only took a couple of cardboard boxes, some ribbon and a …
A little while ago Lakeshore Learning contacted me and asked if I would set up a play area using some of their wonderful learning toys. I have been going to Lakeshore Learning every since my nine year old was a toddler and we love their emphasis on learning in fun and playful ways. So …
Last year I created a series of simple and easy to put together costumes for Kids 21. We had lots of fun with them and with our Playful Cardboard Costume Contest going on I thought it’d be fun to spotlight our little Baby Bat Costume we made with cardboard wings and ears. Depending on the year and …
